Metodija Atanasovski was born on 1977 in Bitola. He graduated in 2001 at power systems department at Faculty of Electrical Engineering – Skopje (today Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technologies (FEEIT) – Skopje) University Ss. Cyril and Methodius with average mark 9.19. After graduation in the period 2001-2002 worked at EMO Institute DOOEL at the bureau for transmission line design as associate designer. He enrolled at postgraduate studies in 2002 at Transmission and Distribution systems department at FEEIT and obtained master degree with average mark 10.00 in 2005. In 2003 started to work as junior assistant at Faculty of Technical Sciences – Bitola at University St. Kliment Ohridski Bitola and after obtaining master degree was promoted at teaching assistant in 2006. He obtained Dr. Sc. (PhD) degree at FEEIT with doctoral thesis entitled “Novel Methods for Allocation of Losses in Distribution Networks with Dispersed Generation of Electricity”, mentored by prof. Dr. Sc. Rubin Taleski. Assistant professor (2012), Associate professor (2017) and Full professor (2022). Since September 2022 Atanasovski has been Vice- Dean for International Cooperation of the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Bitola.
He is and author of several scientific and applicative papers published in international journals with impact factor and international conferences. Two of them are published at the eminent journal IEEE Transactions on Power Systems. Metodija Atanasovski designed several applicative projects in the field of overhead and cable power lines, and he is author of several studies for Macedonian Transmission System Operator (MEPSO) and number of expertise and technical reports for ESM and EVN Macedonia. He participated in the H2020 TRINITY project (GA No. 863874 http://trinityh2020.eu), as leader of the team of Faculty of Technical Sciences.
He is a member of CIGRE North Macedonia (МАКО CIGRE) since 2004, and currently he is a general secretary. Metodija is a member of IEEE (PES) since 2012 and member of Chamber of Certified Architects and Engineers since 2009 with certificate for design and revision of electrical engineering project documentation. He speaks English and has modest knowledge of Italian.
